Tips for Writing the Annotated Bibliography” handout
Before turning in your draft, please review the “Tips for Writing the Annotated Bibliography” handout, the Annotated Bibliography Draft Rubric, and the student sample that I have put up for your review and use this as a guide to writing the bibliography and checking your work before turning in the draft to me. Double-check that you have correctly cited your sources using Figure 9.1 of the APA Manual (please do not skip this step!). As noted above, check for capitalization, italicizing, and punctuation errors in your citation so that you don’t lose a lot of points for every small error made. Your annotations must include information in relation to all five points on the handout (in that order). You should put all of your entries in one single paper, with only a double space in between each source and your two entries so far should be alphabetized. In other words, you wouldn’t submit two separate papers for your two annotations, just put them all together with only a double space between each one. Be sure both of your articles are research-based articles (not reviews) so you do not lose points in this area.
