Continuing education is required to obtain and renew licensure and certification.
Develop a continuing education plan for the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Identify the actions you will take over the next one to two years and write a summary of your plan that includes weekly, monthly, and annual resources. Resources you will use weekly or monthly can include subscriptions, online readings, and such. Resources you will take advantage of annually might include conferences, classes, and symposiums.
Include resources that will meet a variety of learning needs, guide clinical decision-making at point of care, provide current information on new drugs or new safety information, and deepen your understanding of selected topics. Include links, which will count as the references for this discussion.
