The Black Women’s Health Imperative is a nonprofit that focuses on the physical, emotional, and financial wellness of the nation’s 20 million Black women and girls. In this video, President and CEO Linda Goler Blount, MPH, illustrates the importance of BWHI’s work to combat health care inequalities faced by black women by sharing the tale of two mothers whose birth experiences differed vastly because of the treatment they received.
