Select a company, institution, or group and an issue, product, or service to be the subject of your papers and projects until the end of the course.

It must be a regional or small business or nonprofit. Do not choose a major national brand.

What make good choices?

Hair or nail salons
Craft breweries (coffee, beer, cider, etc).
Services like auto shops
Event venues for weddings, quincineras, etc.
An AirBNB rental or similar where you can create your OWN content
Nonprofits are fine – animal shelters and childrens’ charities have been successful

You will write a paper focusing on the research step for your Communications Plan that you will build upon each month for the class.

The paper must address the following objectives:

Introduction paragraph on your client or company
Background paragraph and analysis of the plan’s issue, program, or project
Description of the client or company’s goals and objectives for the proposed Communication Plan. This must be a measurable BUSINESS or NONPROFIT outcome such as sales or donations.
Demonstrate your research with attribution to your sources. These can be contained within the document or at the end of the document.
Use correct English grammar, punctuation and spelling
Do not include extra paragraphs or content in excess of what is required to complete your assignment’s communication objective. Do not waste your reader’s time. Strive for quality, not quantity.
