For this forum, please respond to Part 1 AND Part 2 of the prompt. Make sure to post your original post by Saturday at midnight of week 1 of the module. Please be sure to respond to at least two of your classmates’ posts by Saturday, week 2 of the module.

- Read about the experiment and provide a short description of the experiment.
- What was unethical about the experiment?
- If it were proposed to an institutional review board today, would it be approved? Why or why not? Please be sure to refer to APA ethics codes in your discussion.

Part 2: Defining Psychological Constructs
Psychological constructs such as intelligence, self-esteem, and depression are variables that are not directly observable because they represent behavioral tendencies or complex patterns of behavior and internal processes. Therefore, it is essential to conceptually define psychological constructs in ways that accurately describe and measure them. For this forum:
- List the constructs in your own study.
- Find two measures of that construct in the research literature. Be sure to cite the studies and discuss how each study addressed measurement of the construct you are discussing.
- Finally, provide an operational definition for the construct(s) in your own study. Be sure to define these construct(s) in ways that are measurable. Example: The effect of playing video games on aggression. The researcher would need to operationally define aggression and illustrate how aggression would be measured for the purposes of the study.
- Be sure to use scholarly sources to back your assertions and cite them!
The work that you do in this forum will be used in your final proposal. You will need to operationally define your constructs and this will give you some direction with regard to doing so. Please be sure to provide thoughtful and constructive feedback to your classmates with regard to their operational definitions.
As always . . . . be sure to cite your sources and respond to at least two of your classmates. Please be sure to include scholarly sources in your responses to classmates as well.
