It is a common occurrence for organizations to fail in their change management initiatives or make poor decisions regarding organizational change (think about companies such as Blockbuster, Borders bookstores, or Toys “R” Us as an example). Some organizations fail because they did not correctly identify the need for change or perform a proper analysis, such as using a SWOT analysis. Think about an organization that could have been saved from a disastrous decision through improved communication or by a better analysis of the risks of their change management initiatives.
Respond to the following questions in at least 175 words:
- Share the name of the organization and summarize the change.
- If you were to perform a mini-SWOT analysis of the changes this organization made, what would it look like? (Propose 1-2 factors per area.)
