For our final project you will choose a current event, social issue, or topic, and directly connect it to our class content on the history and effects of racial formation.
Based on the knowledge you have acquired in our class please answer the following:
- How did U.S. history as it pertains to racial formation contribute to the shaping of this current event/social problem?
- How does this current event/social issue effect historically racially marginalized communities (Indigenous/Native Americans, Black/African American, Chicana(o)/Mexican American/Latino, Chinese Americans, and Filipino Americans, etc.)?

you will need to utilize your research skills to make, and support your argument, to discuss the history of the issue, and to connect it to the present.

This Final requires you to conduct library research. Include at least 2 scholarly sources related to the current event or topic.
