One of the key roles of working with clients as a Case Manager is advocating for their needs. This can be challenging within an organization because of two overarching issues. First, when there is a lack of resources, and second, when there is a challenge in ethically meeting the needs of the client, organization, or Case Manager. In these situations, Case Managers may need to look to different care models to provide resources and support for clients. Chapter 3 of the text briefly covers the comprehensive care model.
