Option #1: The Consequences of Technology on Urban or Rural Life
Using academic research, evaluate the societal impact of a specific technology in an urban or rural area of your choosing. You can focus on a city or town you grew up in, one you’ve heard about from current events, or you can focus on another country. Consider the role of values, beliefs, and ethics, and include a discussion of the diffusion of this technology. In your paper, identify the technology, briefly discuss its developmental and historical background, its introduction and use, and its implications and consequences. Were there unintended consequences? Was it embraced by the community?
Your paper should be 3-4 pages in length and conform to CSU Global Writing Center (Links to an external site.). Keep in mind that your cover page and bibliography do not count as pages due. Include at least two scholarly references in addition to the course materials. Consider making use of your recommended material as well. The CSU Global Library is a good place to find these references.

In your paper, you can focus on the organization itself or the population the organization serves. Consider the role of values, beliefs, and ethics, and include a discussion of the diffusion of this technology. In your paper, identify the technology, briefly discuss its developmental and historical background, its introduction and use, and its implications and consequences. Were there unintended consequences? Was it embraced by the community?
