Sigma Theta Tau International
During this course there were many issues and topics of discussion that I found interest in, whether it was new to me or it helped me to gain more knowledge on the topic. One of the topics this term was Sigma Theta Tau International. Sigma Theta Tau International (STTI) was founded with the goal of providing the nursing profession with products and services that include the most recent healthcare information, opportunities for job advancement, and innovative nursing research and development (Catrambone, 2023). Nurses can improve their advocating abilities through STTI for both them and their patients.
Evidenced Based Practice
Another discussion topic this term that I will take away from this term is evidenced based practice. This is a topic that has been discusses and learned about in other courses throughout my nursing school experience but with every term I realize I gained a new knowledge and understand over the topic. Reviewing, analyzing, and translating the most recent scientific data is done through the EBP method. The objective is to quickly incorporate the most up-to-date research into clinical practice, along with clinical knowledge and patient preferences, so nurses can make knowledgeable patient-care choices (ASHA, 2023). Evidence-based practice is now largely acknowledged as the solution to raising the standard of treatment and patient outcomes (Chien L. Y., 2019). To create evidence-based practices, it combines the knowledge of nurses with the most recent study. By assisting in the establishment of efficient therapy and patient care practices, EBP can empower nurses and other clinicians.

Evidence-based practice is an important subject we addressed in class this term. EBP calls for the use of up-to-date, pertinent, and reliable information to back up one’s choices and actions. Regarding technologies and procedures, fresh knowledge is often produced in the healthcare industry. Professionals must therefore consult in order to obtain the data required to support their conclusions. EBP is essential for enhancing patient care and safety, among other quality issues (Chien, 2019). It incorporates knowledge from authorities, investigations, and other trustworthy sources like laws and regulations. For instance, before acting, one should consult the CDC and other reliable sources (Chien, 2019). EBP guarantees secure and efficacy patient care.
Leadership
An important key factor that I have learned about being a good leader is that to be a good leader one must understand that teamwork between the nurses and the nurse manager is essential to providing our patients with the best care possible and that managers should be aware of the many leadership philosophies. It is one of the most successful methods used to lead in a management position. A good leader supports their team and is trustworthy, collaborative, and fair (Lamb et al. 2018).
