Each student should pick a topic of interest dealing with an issue or problem in health care or public health. The paper should be an evidence-based analysis of a specific policy initiative, program, or proposed intervention, not simply a description of the public health or health care problem or summary of approaches. Students should apply critical thinking based on strong evidence from the literature, making sure to cite publications that supportor contradict the implementation of the policy, program or intervention on a larger scale or in other settings (if it currently exists). Papers should reflect originality of analysis and thought by the student (paraphrasing of cited articles is not sufficient)
