Healthy People is a government initiative managed by the Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion (ODPHP) within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). It outlines national goals to promote the health of Americans over a 10 year period. Your text refers to these goals in relation to specific patient populations in the readings for this week. It gives an objective and then a patient education topic for that objective.
Choose one of the populations (pregnant women, newborn and infants, children and adolescents or older adults) that interests you and review the Healthy People objectives listed in your book. Then find one research article on the patient education topic and discuss its importance in your Discussion assignment response . You will need to respond/comment on two other students posts-
