We live in a time where voices are making an impact on how society seesgender, sex, culture, class, color and so on. Over the past year alone we have been in a historical movement with BLM, Pride, AANHPI, women’s rights and others I am sure I missed. This has been a year of change and with that comes a wave of needs that we as educators have to be aware of. For this writing you will be exploring the gender equity in the classroom. In chapter 12 of the Berns text, you will read and explore the social and behavioral outcomes that are influenced by us, peers, family and community. In your writing explain how we as teachers of young children can create an environment, curriculum and culture in our class that provides gender equality for all. What will your class look, feel and be like if I were to enter it as a new parent leaving my child for the first day of their childcare needs. This writing should be no less than two pages and no longer than 4 pages.
