You have been reading about how to lead quality improvement projects and work with interprofessional teams. In this discussion, you will have the opportunity to use two tools that will help you to glean a better perspective when making a policy change in the workplace. The first tool, the Readiness for Change survey, would be one way to assess how open the staff might be to embracing a new QI project. It considers the levels of understanding, support, unit culture and interprofessional teamwork. The second tool, the Change Concepts Worksheet, provides you with some brainstorming strategies for implementing a change on your unit.

- Appendix: Table A-2 Readiness for Change tool, pp. 166-167
- Appendix: Table A-7 Change Concepts Worksheet p. 182
- Using your Signature Assignment project as the focus, create responses to both worksheets in documents that mirror as closely as possible the worksheets themselves. You may need to use some creative thinking as you reflect on the Readiness for Change worksheet.
- Attach both documents to your initial post.
- Summarize the overall results of the Readiness for Change worksheet in 1-2 paragraphs, providing your insight about areas of strength and areas of opportunity as the project unfolds.
- Summarize the Change Concepts Worksheet implementation strategies in 1-2 paragraphs. Be sure to include interprofessional team members.
